With many unique features and powerful performance, it is a popular choice for maintaining the cleanliness and freshness of swimming pools. We especially like the Polaris Vac-Sweep 280's design, which moves smoothly as it sweeps and scrubs pool floors and walls - while its large 2.25" inlet picks up large debris that other cleaners can't do. What's more, It is capable of cleaning surfaces as diverse as stone, tile, concrete, and vinyl. This makes this vacuum a versatile choice for conditioned pools and different requirements.

We installed the device in this round of testing in just 3 minutes. After installation, we used the vacuum cleaner in a pool surrounded by bushes and trees three times. The Polaris Vac-Sweep 280 can efficiently cover the whole pool, guaranteeing that no area is overlooked, thanks to its agile movement and wide trajectory. As there is no need for additional hand cleaning or machine position changes, this saves the user time and effort.

The Polaris Vac-Sweep 280 moves and cleans using the water pressure generated by the pool's filter pump. The robot can move across the pool's surface and suction debris into the filter bag thanks to the force of the water.

The robot's wheel and squeegee mechanism allow it to move easily across all swimming pool surfaces. The robot can now clean edges and difficult-to-reach places that ordinary pool vacuums are unable to clean. Separate fuel and dust tanks are an extremely unique design feature that contributes to the machine's stability, portability, and ease of maintenance.

How It Worked in the Long-Term

After testing the product for 2 months, we found that the booster pump still works strongly, so still moves flexibly in the pool and avoids obstacles such as steps and pool gates. However, as with any device, some damage can occur after prolonged use. The rotating brush on the machine can become worn or damaged after a period of use. This can reduce the ability of the pool surface to clean.

Editor’s Verdict: The machine has a simple design and is easy to use. Users can easily install and operate it without too much technical knowledge. Like other mechanical equipment, problems such as pump failure, worn brushes, etc. cannot be avoided.
